The programme uses the latest motor vehicle telematics technology to develop a scientific measure of driver behaviour. If you drive well, you will earn points and the more points you earn the greater your rewards are. You can earn extra points by improving your knowledge and awareness and by making sure that your car is safe to drive.

By insuring your car and home with us, and driving well, you can earn up to 50% of your BP fuel spend back every month.

You can also choose to boost your rewards and get up to 100% of your BP fuel spend paid into your Excess Funder Account each month. Your fuel rewards will depend on the number of points earned in the month.

If you drive well you can have up to 10% of your car premiums paid into your Excess Funder Account each month. You can use the available funds in this account to pay for your car excess for any valid claim above the minimum basic excess.

You get comprehensive cover at a competitive rate

Discovery Insure offers you comprehensive insurance for your car, home and portable possessions. We’ll provide you with valuable benefits like Avis car hire for up to 30 days if you are in an accident, at no additional cost.

You won’t pay an excess for damage caused by theft, hijacking, hail, storm or fire.

We also take the hassle out of claiming by promising to replace your stolen or lost FastTrack approved items within 48 hours or we will waive the excess on your claim.

You get peace of mind with the Young Adult Plan

The Young Adult Plan is exclusively available to all young adult drivers younger than 26 years and provides them with a combination of benefits and rewards that enables them and encourages them to become better drivers.

The Young Adult Plan offers unique benefits like:

• 25% of their car insurance premiums paid into a Rewards Fund for them to spend on whatever they want every six months.
• Feedback on their driving so they can see where they need to improve.
• Discounted prices to NightDriver, an affordable way of getting home safely late at night.
• Access to all other Discovery Insure benefits, like up to 50% of their BP fuel spend back every month.

Discovery Insure further promotes safe driving by incentivising young adult drivers to drive well and avoid driving late at night. Young adult drivers who do this will boost their Rewards Fund by up to R200 each month, giving them more money to spend.

Our safety features keep you and your family safe

If you are in a severe accident, ImpactAlert provides you with immediate medical care.

We will send you real-time SMS notifications when your family members start and end their journeys. You can also see the details of your driving behaviour and your routes and distances with our online tools.

We’ll provide you with armed security response if you are stuck in an unsafe area.

We will be alerted if your vehicle battery or tracking device is tampered with, or if your car is moved without the engine being started. We give you peace of mind that your tracking device is always in working condition as it performs a daily health check.

We also offer you home security services for up to two nights following a burglary and emergency accommodation of up to R3 000.
